The Internet Marketing Center Wants To Know “What’s Your Barrier?”

The Internet Marketing Center (IMC for short) just sent out an email this morning with a new thing they’re doing. I’m always late getting this info posted because of my darn day job, sorry, I posted as soon as I was able, hopefully it’s not too late. Anyway, apparently they’re following the lead of other top internet marketers and are going to give away a bunch of free information. What’s different about this give-away is they are first going to figure out what you need to know.

Yeah, it’s brilliant isn’t it? Well, it’s run by a really smart guy, Derek Gehl.

I first became familiar with Internet Marketing Center about ten years ago. Back then it was run by a young internet marketing genius named Cory Rudl. As young as Cory was, he was already a millionaire many times over. At that time he was selling a print course on internet marketing for around $400 and I bought it. It came in two big black binders and I think I also bought a couple of videos.

Well, at the time I was just getting started with a site that sold gift basket supplies. I was doing a little business but nothing to write home about. Anyway, I read and studied Cory’s course and in the next year took that business to doing over $600k a year. Yep, all from stuff I learned from Cory.

Well, I’m not sure but I think Derek worked with Cory way back then, or they were best friends, or something. Anyway, Cory was killed while driving a race car about four or five years ago and left the business to Derek. And Derek has done a great job of continuing in Cory’s footsteps. Anyway, everything I’ve ever purchased from them has been top notch and continues to be today.

So, I’m on their mailing list and I got notice of this thing they’re doing and I thought it’d be a good idea to tell you about it. Basically, for the next day or so, Derek is running a live survey where he wants everyone to share the #1 obstacle that is preventing them from making the kind of money they want to make on the Internet.

He is then going to compile that data and help as many people as possible overcome their barriers to success with a TON of FREE training. However, he warns that he does have to limit the submissions, so if you want to get your obstacle added to the list, you need to get over to his site right now.

He said even if you’re a beginner with no success on the internet, he wants to hear from you. He also said he was giving away a free case study just for sharing your obstacle (and your email address!).

Anyways, it’s a great opportunity to let someone know what you need to learn and then take advantage of the free training provided. Go on, go over and post your obstacle.

Here’s mine:

1. Focus and consistency. I get bored easily when I’m not meeting my monetary goals even though I know it takes time, a lot of time, to get a website to the point that it can make money. I tend to want to quit before I even give it a chance.

2. Time. I work a full time job and work on the site every night and almost every weekend but it just seems to move so slow. I also have TONS of learning material but because I spend so much time writing I don’t have time to watch/listen/read the training materials.

3. Content. It takes so much time to write the articles and posts necessary to feed the site. I use PLR as a jumping off point but it still takes at least 30 minutes per article and for proper SEO I need a bunch of articles for each topic.

4. Newsletter Subscribers. Is my content too boring? I’m not getting very many subscribers and without a list I’m going to have a hard time selling anything.

5. Social Networking. Again, time. Social media can be such a time hog. If I sit on Twitter and talk with people, it’s a lot of fun and I’m sure it brings visitors but then I can’t write articles and posts. And if I don’t write, the people who come won’t like the site. Big ole circle. But between Twitter, Facebook and Eons, I’m having trouble getting to each one on a daily basis.

That’s enough ~ Thanks Derek.

Go now, get some free training! ~ http://blog.internetmarketing.com/tellderek

Cheers!
